We are very pleased to present, from 10 to 11 June 2023, the Urban Heart event in Basel for the fifth time! This year we are once again able to design the walls of Bell AG during Art Basel. A balanced selection of artists from all over Europe, including Nomad Clan(GB), Mickey(NL), Pork(DE), Patrizia Stalder(CH) and many more, will make the walls and our weekend colourful and totally awesome. Come along from 10am and watch the artists at work, let one of the club members take you on a wall walk or treat yourself to a delicious meal with a matching drink! Free entry!

Promoting urban art in public space, offering it a platform and creating access for viewers: Creating access inside - this was the guiding principle under which the Verein Urbane Kunst in Basel was founded in 2015.We promote local artists, play an important role in networking the national and international street art scene, create new opportunities and a platform for encounters and exchange through our events. We represent a selection of local and international artists and are contact persons for commissions and art mediation.The association is made up of local artists and street art enthusiasts. We work on a voluntary basis and run a non-profit association. Because it is a matter of the heart, our work serves solely to promote art and culture.

SPRING BASEL 2023
From 22nd to 26th March 2023 we had the honour to represent ourselves and the street art culture at Spring Basel. We were represented by a merchandise booth, live paintings, workshops and a gallery. Our growing gallery with the works of the participating artists was an absolute eye-catcher and it was great fun to see it grow. The highlight for us was the participating artists and their works! Thank you for your energy and performance! Although we were unfortunately not able to serve everyone at our highly frequented workshops, we were able to inspire young and old. The competences of the fair team supported us to a great extent and the cooperation was a real pleasure. From our point of view a successful event. At this point, thank you and see you another time!
From June 17 to 19, 2022, we hijacked the Rhine ship MS Evolutie for the fourth edition of Urban Heart Basel and offered you an insight into the art forms of graffiti and street art. The generous space in the belly of the MS Evolutie served us as a floating gallery, and at the same time the ship's sides were painted with work of art.
During Art Basel we docked at a different pier on the Rhine every day.
On deck we offered live painting events, where the creation of a painting could be witnessed. In addition to the main project MS Evolutie (ms-evolutie.ch) we realized different live paintings at various locations in the city of Basel. PDF-Flyer for download

Change of Colours Basel 2020 – creation of the biggest mural of Switzerland
On August 20 to 30, an urban art event of outstanding quality has taken place at Bell Schweiz AG at Neudorfstrasse in Basel. The internationally renowned street artists Mr. Cenz (UK), Bane & Chromeo (CH) and Bust (CH) created three large scale murals on a 800m2 wall.
With thirty more artists will paint additional works around the Bell site on a wall length of over 200 meters.
All in all, 1700 square meters of wall was painted, which sets a Swiss record.
Whether school class, youth club, team building events or bachelor party; Graffiti workshops are an encounter of a special unforgettable (3rd) kind - it's simply fun to paint something!
The diversity of the artists we represent enables us to draw on a wide repertoire of styles, experiences, tips and tricks and to design workshops according to individual wishes. Apart from the fact that we always explain how to use a spray can technically, the course of these workshops is as varied and colorful as the techniques and colors we will use. Murals
Color to take away the gray of everyday life, make our living space and neighborhood more attractive, bring people into contact and exchange ideas, create reference points and orientation aids; this and much more can be accomplished by public art in urban space. With targeted wall designs, one quarter becomes an open-air museum; freely accessible and tangible for people of all kinds and classes.
As a non-profit organisation, we only serve as an intermediary between artists and clients. We work with various artists from Switzerland, the Basel region and abroad. Our goal is to provide artists with as many areas in public space as possible and to have them creatively designed. There are no limits to the options for objects that we can creatively design: vehicles, house facades, street passages, sidewalks, shop windows, shops, personal items and private objects. So don't hesitate to contact us with crazy ideas. Our artists make it possible!

You have the option of supporting the Urbane Kunst association as an active or passive member.
As an active member, you take part in all meetings of the association; you take on administrative and organizational tasks, you are actively involved in the implementation of projects and events and you can enrich the association with your experience. As a passive member you can support the association with an annual membership fee. Of course you will be invited to all events, get access to previous events and of course you can also take part in our annual general meeting. The minimum contribution per year is Chf 50.-; However, you are welcome to round up at your discretion. We are very happy about any support!
